In diesen Beziehungen stehen neben der Wahrheit der Mythen auch die Wirklichkeit der Vorurteile, nicht minder aber Versuche, auf das jeweils Andere konstruktiv einzugehen. Angelsächsische und deutschsprachige Mythentheorien werden in diesem Band ebenso einander gegenüber gestellt wie exemplarische Ausprägungen der Mythen in Literatur, Kulturtheorie und bildender Kunst.
