Can I read Praseodymium(III) as a sensitizer of gadolinium(III) in YOCl and GdOCl on EtoBox?

Praseodymium(III) as a sensitizer of gadolinium(III) in YOCl and GdOCl by G. Blasse; G.J. Dirksen; W.E.J. van Kooten; C.A. van Walree is a Physics and Astronomy article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Praseodymium(III) as a sensitizer of gadolinium(III) in YOCl and GdOCl about?

The Pr3+ ion is an efficient sensitizer of the Gd3+ sublattice of GdOCI. The 4f5d excited state of Pr3+ transfers efficiently to the 61 levels of Cd'+. In YOCl the 4fSd state of Pr3+ emits in the short-wavelength ultraviolet region (250-300 nm). By using activators, like e.g. Dy3+, in the Gd3+ sublattice efficient energy transfer from Pr3+ to the activator occurs via many Gd3+ transfer steps.

Who reads Praseodymium(III) as a sensitizer of gadolinium(III) in YOCl and GdOCl?

It is typically read by researchers, students, and practitioners in Physics and Astronomy.
