## h i g h l i g h t s Polymeric optical fibers (POFs) were distributed in a random manner for the production of LTCMs. The mechanical properties of the LTCMs decreased due to increases in their fiber contents. With respect to the cost-benefit ratio, the 5% POF content samples proved to be the most advantageous.
