Chickpea vs Pigeonpea Seed Protein Analysis is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study analyzed the distribution of protein fractions and amino acids in different anatomical parts of chickpea and pigeonpea seeds. The results showed that globulin was the major protein fraction found in the embryo and cotyledons of both crops. Nitrogen in the seed coat was mostly nonprotein nitrogen and glutelin, differing from other parts. The albumin fraction of cotyledons contained the highest levels of methionine and cystine, two important sulfur amino acids. Glutelin in chickpea and pigeonpea al
