The study investigates the effects of the bispecific immunocytokine PD1-IL2v combined with anti-PD-L1 on immunotherapy-resistant tumors. Results show that this combination enhances the infiltration of stem-like tumor-reactive CD8+ T cells and reprograms macrophages, leading to tumor regression and improved survival in a mouse model. These findings support the rationale for clinical trials evaluating this combination therapy in patients with resistant tumors.
