What is Rain about?

Rainfall is contributing more to melting of the Greenland ice sheet than previously thought. An analysis found that around 300 melt events between 1979 and 2012 were linked to rainfall, which accounted for 28% of total melting. Rainfall is becoming more common in Greenland due to higher temperatures and is falling further north, including during winter.
