What is Thermal Desorption 1208 about?

The Porcupine(r) Processor is a low temperature indirect Thermal Desorption system utilising a closed loop heat transfer fluid. The cuttings are heated to a maximum temperature of 340 oC to produce water and oil vapours, and clean dry solids. The recovered water is further treated to minimise any hydrocarbon content prior to being discharged or sprayed back onto the dry cuttings to re-hydrate them.
