What is 卡门 : 梅里美中短篇小说选 = Carmen about?

(There aren't so many medium short stories written by Prosper Merimee, in a total of less than 20, but they all have distinctive characteristics in both ideological content and artistic style. Merimee entered into the literary circle by virtue of his Clara Gassour Dramas Selection, an expert in writing medium short stories, including Colombo, Carmen, Blue Room, etc., which are all famous pieces. In view of Merimee's choice of subject matter preferring exotic colors, he belongs to the school of romanticism, while in view of his simple writing style, he belongs to a classicism. This book has selected nine excellent works of art such as Carmen, Colombo, Mateo Falcone, Tomango, etc., which basically reflected the writing style and artistic characteristics of Merimee's medium short stories.)
