About this document

RRSO Impact on Breast Cancer in BRCA1/2 by fungi3336 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigates the impact of risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO) on breast cancer incidence and histopathological features in women with BRCA1/2 germline pathogenic variants. The findings indicate that RRSO does not significantly reduce breast cancer risk or alter histopathological characteristics, although tumors diagnosed post-RRSO tended to be smaller. The primary role of RRSO remains the reduction of tubal and ovarian cancer risk.
