What is Johan Agrell: Baroque Composer Overview about?

Johan Agrell (1701-1765) was a late Baroque Swedish composer. He studied in Uppsala and worked as a violinist at the Kassel court, traveling throughout Europe. From 1736 onward, he was Kapellmeister in Nuremberg. He wrote occasional vocal works and numerous symphonies, harpsichord concertos and sonatas. Agrell was a fluent composer in the North German galant style of his time and was also an appreciated musician and conductor. According to a book by Per Linde, Agrell composed a total of at least 99 symphoni
