This study evaluated the effectiveness of 17% ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) combined with diode and Er, Cr:YSGG lasers in removing the smear layer, altering surface changes, and enhancing sealer penetration in root dentin. Results indicated that the combination of EDTA and lasers significantly improved smear layer removal and sealer penetration compared to EDTA alone across all root levels. The findings suggest that utilizing lasers in conjunction with EDTA may enhance endodontic treatment outcomes
