This thesis evaluates the seismic performance of a 4-story reinforced concrete building in Surigao del Norte, Philippines using nonlinear static and dynamic analyses. Initial analyses found large deformation demands, indicating a need for retrofitting. A proposed retrofit of adding external reinforced concrete frames was modeled and analyzed. Results showed the retrofit reduced inter-story drifts and increased the structure
