Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who present with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) have significantly worse outcomes than those without CKD. However, CKD patients are less likely to receive evidence-based treatments for ACS such as coronary angiography, appropriate discharge medications, and referral to cardiac rehabilitation. This study analyzed data from an Australian registry to describe gaps in care for CKD patients with ACS and identify factors predicting underuse of treatments.
