This study examines the impact of a Cesarean section during a first pregnancy on the likelihood and timing of a subsequent pregnancy. The study compares 279 women who delivered their first baby via Cesarean section due to breech position to 268 women who delivered vaginally after an uncomplicated first pregnancy. The study finds that women who had a Cesarean section were just as likely to have a subsequent pregnancy as those who delivered vaginally, with 79.4% and 77.6% respectively becoming pregnant again.
