## Abstract Hochtemperaturreaktionen führen zu Einkristallen der noch unbekannten Verbindung Be~4~Pr~9~O~20~. Röntgenuntersuchungen ergaben orthorhombische Symmetrie (Raumgruppe CPna2~1~; a = 954,1, b = 655,7, c = 722,7 pm). Struktur und Koordination von Be^++^ und Pr^3+/4+^ werden in Verbindung mit der Zusammensetzung ausführlich diskutiert.
