What is Kennedy about?

In a speech during the Berlin Crisis on July 25, 1961, President John F. Kennedy addressed American citizens, emphasizing the U.S. commitment to defend West Berlin against Soviet threats. He announced plans to increase military funding and personnel, asserting that peace in Berlin is threatened by Moscow, not the city itself. Kennedy conveyed a dual approach of readiness for defense while also seeking peaceful resolutions through dialogue.
