The DFC consists of a 4-bit LFSR, a ring oscillator DFC core with 16 ring oscillators each with an NAND gate and eight inverters, and a bidirectional counter. Simulation results show the DFC generates random responses that pass the NIST randomness tests and has a power consumption of 730uW. Future work aims to further reduce power consumption and increase the number of challenge-response pairs.
