This study surveyed 168 chronic locked-in syndrome (LIS) patients to assess their self-reported well-being and identify factors influencing their happiness. Results showed that while 72% of respondents reported happiness, 28% expressed unhappiness, often linked to anxiety and dissatisfaction with mobility and recreational activities. The findings highlight the need for improved palliative care and support for mobility and social integration in LIS patients, as well as considerations for end-of-life decision
