About this document

Dog Responses to Object-Labels Study by bromberg.alexa is a document available to read on EtoBox.

1) The study investigated whether typical dogs with little reported language training can respond to object labels. 2) In a two-choice task with 20 dogs, the group performed above chance level in fetching and looking at named objects, though only one dog did reliably above chance. 3) The results suggest that in typical dogs, object-label learning may occur implicitly and unstably, rather than through rapid mapping seen in exceptional dogs with larger vocabularies.
