This study aimed to develop a short version of the widely used 44-item Big Five Inventory (BFI) to measure the Big Five personality factors (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism) in a concise yet valid way. The researchers conducted two studies with over 8,000 participants total to analyze the factor structure and psychometric properties of different item sets.
