About this document
Understanding VLAN Segmentation by m rauf tabassum is a document available to read on EtoBox.
VLANs are virtual local area networks that partition a physical network into multiple logical networks at the data link layer. VLANs are based on logical instead of physical connections, providing flexibility. When using VLANs, network security is improved because the physical network is separated into smaller logical networks. If one VLAN is compromised, the attacker likely only gains access to that VLAN rather than the entire network.
