The Maili Christian Church in Hawaii was started in 1950 by two missionaries from the Philippines, Edith Shimmel and Ethel Jones. In 1964, Joe and Dora Sholtis joined the church, now known as the Maili Christian Church. Joe and Dora have three children and have served the church for many years but have struggled financially with a monthly support of only $150, requiring Dora to work other jobs. They are hoping support can be increased to $1000 per month so they can devote full time to growing the church.
