Providing a sufficient amount of food in the form of animal products, that will meet the needs of the human population in the coming decades, generally means implementation of new upgrades in the production of animal products. Certainly, biocatalysts, as enzymes are involved in main roles in the animal feed industry. In the past decade, the role of enzymes has been increasing at the industrial level because of their expansive applications in textiles, biofuel production, food, paper, cleaning products, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and animal feed (Cacicedo et al., 2019). In industrial animal production systems, most dietary ingredients differ from those developed by animals for digestion. Therefore, these animals do not have the enzymes to be able to digest specific feed components or to degrade anti-nutritional factors. The inability to digest feed components results in reduced digestive efficiency and health problems. Therefore, nowadays, different enzymes of microbial origins such as amylases, xylanases, β-glucanases, proteases, phytases and many others are added to feed.
