This document presents a study on the kinetics of scrap tire pyrolysis. Thermogravimetry and a fast heating microreactor were used to obtain kinetic data at temperatures up to 973 K, similar to large-scale reactors. Kinetic parameters of E=98.6 kJ/mol and k0=7.35×104 s-1 were determined. Monitoring by gas chromatography determined kinetics of hydrocarbon product formation, which are of interest for petrochemical and tire manufacturing industries.
