The document discusses a simulation of a 4-switch, 3-phase inverter fed induction motor drive system. A simulation model was developed using Simulink MATLAB. Simulation results showed that the proposed drive provides fast speed response and good disturbance rejection capability. Total harmonic distortion was found to be 9.32% without load and 8.24% with load. The 4-switch inverter reduces costs and improves reliability compared to a conventional 6-switch inverter.
