What is Boldness and Heart Rate in Spiders about?

This study investigates the relationship between individual differences in boldness and heart rate in two species of orb-weaving spiders, Larinioides cornutus and L. patagiatus. The findings reveal that increased boldness correlates with higher heart rates in L. cornutus, suggesting that metabolic rate may underlie consistent behavioral differences. However, no significant association was found in L. patagiatus, indicating variability in these traits across species.
