Pumps 2000 offers both ball valve and slurry valve pumps. Slurry valve pumps have a bottom discharge that allows gravity to help transfer suspended solids through each stroke by flushing solids from the bottom of the chamber. Ball valve pumps have a top discharge which allows solids to accumulate at the bottom of the chamber, and the horizontally-seating ball valve can allow small solids to get lodged where it seals.
