This study investigates the progressive collapse mechanisms of post-tensioned reinforced concrete (PT) frames considering the effects of infill walls using numerical simulations. The research finds that while masonry infill walls enhance the resistance of PT frames, they alter failure modes and reduce re-centering capacity. A preliminary design method is proposed to accurately predict the progressive collapse resistance of PT frames influenced by infill walls.
