Introduction There is a perceived notion surrounding the quality of life for people with disabilities.Denying transplant to candidates constitutes a discriminatory practice and puts this already vulnerable population at a disadvantage.Here we describe a case of a young patient with Usher syndrome who successfully underwent a Heart and Lung transplant. Case Report 34-year-old male with type II Usher syndrome underwent a Heart-Lung transplant in early 2022.Due to his vision and hearing loss, patient was dependent on most activities of daily living.Unique to this patient, was that both his primary and secondary support system would not only need to commit to lifelong follow-up care to ensure adherence, but they would also need to utilize tactile American Sign Language (TASL) to effectively communicate. Meticulous planning went on for months to ensure smooth execution. Based on our team's experience, we would like to highlight some of the steps undertaken.
