What is Understanding Silent Knowledge about?

This document presents an introduction to the concept of "sorcery" according to don Juan Matus, a Mexican Indian sorcerer who instructed Carlos Castaneda. Don Juan explains that sorcery involves using fields of energy inaccessible to common perception to perceive hidden worlds. The goal is to conserve energy and reach a state of consciousness that allows for direct knowledge without words. Finally, he defines sorcery as the process of cleansing the bond with a cosmic force called "intent."
