About this document
Bolund Experiment: Validating CFD Accuracy by Mathias Hölzer is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The Bolund Experiment was a field experiment set up to validate computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models. It involved collecting wind speed measurements across complex terrain near Bolund, Denmark. Participants used the terrain and boundary condition data in blind tests to simulate the wind flows, which were then compared to measurements. Results showed that RANS k-epsilon turbulence models produced the lowest errors, with WindSim and others within 5-6% of measured wind speeds at 5 meters height. The Bolun
