This study evaluates the relationship between esophagitis grades and objective diagnosis of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) using ambulatory pH-impedance monitoring. Among 155 symptomatic patients, grade B esophagitis was associated with a 100% objective GERD diagnosis, while only 17.6% of grade A esophagitis patients met the criteria. The findings suggest that grade B esophagitis provides a reliable objective diagnosis for GERD, highlighting the importance of endoscopic grading in clinical assessmen
