What is Understanding Gestalt Learning Theory about?

Gestalt theory proposes that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It was introduced in 1912 by German psychologist Max Wertheimer, who believed that people naturally perceive entire configurations or patterns before perceiving individual elements. The theory focuses on four laws of grouping: similarity, proximity, continuity, and closure. Gestalt theory also looks at how people solve problems by understanding overall structures and seeing relationships between parts.
