Many chapters are useful for their practical aspect and for the quality of the therapeutics rules: \* The Pharmacology section provide detail on all the drugs which can be given to the newborn and the young infant. For each of them, the way of administration and the dosage is mentioned. \* Two chapters are dedicated to the congenital cataracts and give details in a long table on the etiology, the diagnosis and also on the therapeutic and the different means to correct aphakia. Two last chapters dedicated to the retinopathy of prematurity are very circumstantial and well illustrated with color tables. In summary a very good book with short chapters, well illustrated and a lot of informations. This book will surely be useful for the student in ophthalmology as well as staff members and all the practicians who are interested in increasing their knowledge in pediatric ophthalmology. Everybody will find up to date informations but also useful technical points for the daily practice.
