This retrospective study evaluated the effectiveness of intravenous fluid resuscitation for the treatment of hypotension in 35 dogs presented to the emergency room between 2000-2010. The study found that fluid resuscitation resulted in a significant increase in blood pressure in all dogs. 23 dogs showed normalization of blood pressure following fluid therapy within 1 hour.
