This study analyzed the correlation between smoking behavior and VO2 max value and Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) value of soldiers in the 201st Infantry Battalion/Jaya Yudha Mechanized Company in 2014. It found a correlation between smoking behavior and lower VO2 max and PEFR values based on statistical tests. The study used a comparative analytic design with a cross-sectional approach, collecting primary data from tests on 40 soldier respondents, half smokers and half non-smokers.
