What is Optical V2V Communication System about?

This document introduces an optical vehicle-to-vehicle communication system that uses LED transmitters on one vehicle and a camera receiver on a following vehicle. The camera receiver uses a special CMOS image sensor called an Optical Communication Image Sensor that can receive high-speed optical signals up to 10 Mb/s and quickly detect LED signals in real-time. Experiments were conducted between two moving vehicles outdoors and successfully transmitted vehicle data and 13 fps image data while driving.
