This document describes an improvement to a rotary wing aircraft rotor system. Specifically, it raises the rotor hub universal joint to an elevated level above the rotor blades to prevent unequal torque forces on the blades from introducing undesirable forces into the rotor feathering control system. This vertically separates the axes of feathering and pitch change control. It also brings the center of mass of the rotor into coincidence with the center of pivotation, distinguishing it from prior arrangement
