This study evaluates the effectiveness of a dermal regeneration template (DRT) in treating combat-related upper extremity soft tissue injuries in military patients. Out of 60 patients with 69 wounds, full-thickness skin grafting after DRT resulted in 100% healing, while split-thickness grafting had a 96% success rate. The findings suggest that DRT is a beneficial adjunct for managing contaminated war wounds in the upper extremities.
