What is Cyclic Extrusion Compression Process about?
The cyclic extrusion compression (CEC) process repeatedly extrudes a sample back and forth through a die with a smaller diameter, subjecting it to alternating compression and extrusion. This imposes a high hydrostatic pressure and allows arbitrarily large strain deformation while preserving the original sample shape.
