The study compares the effectiveness of bioactive glass (BAG), mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), ferric sulfate (FS), and formocresol (FC) as pulpotomy agents in rat molars. Results indicated that MTA performed best, promoting dentine bridge formation and maintaining normal pulp histology, while BAG initially caused inflammation but showed improvement over time. In contrast, FS and FC resulted in significant pulp necrosis and inflammation, with FC showing extensive fibrosis at 4 weeks.
