What is Funding Request for Wayne County Youth Program about?

John Conyers Jr. requests funding from the Committee on Appropriations for the Wayne County, Michigan Juvenile Mentoring Program in fiscal year 2010. The funding would be provided to the Wayne County Department of Children and Family Services and used for one-on-one mentoring projects targeting at-risk youth in Wayne County. The program aims to provide interventions for youth exposed to risks that could lead to issues like educational failure, truancy, substance abuse, or juvenile delinquency.
