About this document

Eucalyptus Trees Indicate Gold Deposits by dinesh_hsenid is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Researchers found traces of gold in the leaves of Eucalyptus trees growing over gold-bearing veins in Australia. Eucalyptus trees can send their roots deep underground in search of water, even breaking into gold-rich zones where they absorb microscopic metal particles. The researchers used X-ray imaging to check for gold in the leaves, twigs, bark, litter and soil of Eucalyptus trees growing at two gold prospecting sites. They found the highest concentrations of gold, though still very weak, in the leaves.
