Gamma Ray Spectroscopy Calibration Techniques by Karabo Letsholo is a document available to read on EtoBox.
What is Gamma Ray Spectroscopy Calibration Techniques about?
Gamma ray spectroscopy was performed on a NaI(Ti) detector to calibrate its energy levels using four known radioactive samples. An unknown sample was then identified based on the energy of its photopeaks. Spectral data was collected and analyzed to identify features such as full energy peaks, Compton continua, and annihilation peaks. The known sample energies were fitted to the channel data to generate a calibration curve for determining the energy values of peaks in the unknown sample.
