What is Pneumatic Disc Brake Overview about?

Pneumatic disc brakes use air pressure to stop the rotation of wheels. A brake disc connected to the wheel creates friction when brake pads are forced against it by air pressure in the caliper. This converts the kinetic energy of the moving wheel into heat, slowing and stopping the wheel. The main components are the brake pads, floating caliper piston, and vented rotor mounted to the hub. Pneumatic braking allows for powerful stopping with less wear and simpler installation than other brake types.
