What is pH Impact on Ice Melting Rates about?

This study investigated the effect of pH on the melting time of ice cubes. Acidic, basic, and neutral ice cubes were prepared and their melting times recorded. Contrary to predictions, basic ice cubes melted the fastest on average at 171 seconds, while acidic cubes took longest at 210 seconds. A one-way ANOVA test found no significant difference in melting times between the groups. Therefore, the study was unable to conclude if acidic ice melts faster than basic or neutral ice.
