What is Sky Lock Safety and Hoist Parts Guide about?
The Sky Lock is an independent, secondary safety brake that provides additional backup for hoists. It senses the speed of the wire rope and automatically locks to support the load if the rope exceeds a preset speed. OSHA requires an independent secondary brake like the Sky Lock for every hoist. The Sky Lock comes in two models, the Sky Lock II and III, and does not require external power. It is included with all Sky Climber hoists.
