What is Reinforcement Theory in Behaviorism about?

Dollard and Miller proposed a reinforcement theory of behaviorism with four fundamentals: drive, cue, response, and reward. They believed that behaviors are learned through stimulus generalization and are shaped by four critical childhood training situations with parents around feeding, cleanliness, sex, and managing emotions. Their theory explored how conflicts between desirable and undesirable alternatives influence decision making.
