The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported that as of April 15th there were 29,918 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, including 1,108 deaths. There were 5,472 new tests conducted for a total of 132,023 tests. Long-term care facilities accounted for 4,163 cases and 530 deaths. Non-Hispanic whites made up the largest percentage of confirmed cases at 18% and deaths at 28%.
