What is Creating Containers in Active Directory about?

Containers in Active Directory can be used to organize objects but Group Policy cannot be applied to them. To enable Containers, open ADSI Edit and connect to the Schema container, then change the "defaultHidingValue" property of "CN=Container" to false. This will display the "Container" creation option when right clicking domains or other containers in the Active Directory Users and Computers tool.
